Penhaligon's Opus 1870 EDT is a woody eau de toilette for men. The name is already a program. "Opus" is in fact the Latin translation of "masterpiece". Created in 2005, the perfume is an elegant and complex woody chypre. It opens with a luxurious accord of sweet citrus and black pepper. The heart is then illuminated by the delicacy of the clove, the English rose and incense. Strong are the base notes of cedar and sandalwood. Opus 1870 is wonderfully warm and comfortable: a perfume to wrap around yourself during the cold winter nights.
