Bagheera represents the time of the day
when the sun reaches its zenith, and the
most enlightened interaction between man
and animal. While penetrating deeply into
the jungle to reach the middle part of the
island, they accidentally wake a panther
from its slumber. Instinctively they start to
run, but the panther runs around them,
then along them, then eventually in front.
The animal turns his head to indicate a
change of direction and guides them with
aloof temper to a waterfall in the northern
part of the island.
